His commitment and enthusiasm for well crafted Architecture underpins and informs the engineering design carried out by Built Engineers.
In leading the practice he strives to create an exemplary work environment where being 'design-led' can co-exist in a viable and progressive business environment.
His 'design for construction' abilities are complemented by periods of hands-on site work, which also include a year spent learning furniture making skills in solid wood, and a smattering of metalwork fabrication.
In his earlier career, he worked in the conservation engineering field, gaining a good grounding in working with existing buildings on numerous high profile projects.
Prior to setting up Built Engineers he spent three years at Alan Conisbee & Associates, working on designs for the New Energy Centre at the British Museum, a Visitor Centre for Battle Abbey, various high specification residential refurbishments, new-build social housing, and commercial refurbishments for high street clients.
