This hyperbolic paraboloid (saddle) roof structure was originally developed by us as a timber lamella grid structure, we developed the final design in conjunction with Cowley Timberwork. The intersecting straight chords and perimeter beam are fabricated from Thermowood. The CHS support frame sits onto RC walls that are the remains of a sub-station building on the site.
Shortlisted for the structural category in the 2010 Wood Awards.
